札幌 関数型ミートアップ

(English follows Japanese)

札幌関数型ミートアップは関数型言語が気になる方のための勉強会です。 関数型言語を勉強したり、新しいライブラリーを作ったり、隣の方とmonadの話をしたり、 関数型言語に関する作業をしたり、希望者でLTを行ったりするゆるい会です。 お互い分からない点を協力して解決したりしましょう。

会が終わったら有志で近くの居酒屋で懇親会を開きます。参加は任意です！

タイムテーブル

• 13:00～ 開場
• 13:15～ 自己紹介（大雑把に何をするのか共有する）
• 13:25〜 関数型求人紹介（ある場合）
• 13:30～ 作業したり話したりする
• 17:15～ 有志の方により、何をしたのか簡単に成果など発表
• 17:45～ 会場片付け & 撤収
• 17:55～ 完全に撤収
• 18:00～ どこかで懇親会をする（参加任意）
• 20:00　 解散！

対象

幅広いレベルの方に参加していただきたいので、初心者からプロまですべてのレベルの方を対象としています。

• 勉強し始めたばかりの方
• プログラミングの知識は少ないけど、興味ある方
• 高校生、専門学生、大学生でプログラミング好きな方
• 仕事でプログラミングをしていて、更にスキルを磨きたい方
• 趣味でプログラミングをしている方
• ゆっくりプログラミングや数学の本を読める場所を探している方
• NOプログラミング、NOライフでマニアックすぎて誰もついていけないような方

作業の例

• 本を読んでHaskellを勉強する
• Elixirのチュートリアルをやってみる
• Elmでウェブアプリを作ってみる
• Scalaで新しいライブラリーを作って公開する
• 会社の既存のJavaコードをClojureで書き換える
• F#についてブログの記事を書く
• Emacsのコンフィグレーションをいじる
• Common Lispで面白いプログラムを作る
• Rustを使って組込系で遊ぶ

無料です！

懇親会費はやっぱり実費です。3000円以上にならないと思います。

Functional Sapporo Meetup

Functional Sapporo is a meetup for people who like functional programming languages. Functional Sapporo provides a place and time to study functional languages, learn about new libraries, talk to like-minded people, and just hack on functional code. We help each other with the journey through the learning process.

There is an optional after-party after the main event.

Time Table

• 13:00～ open doors
• 13:15～ self introduction (tell everyone what you'll be working on)
• 13:25〜 functional programming jobs explanation
• 13:30～ hack, talk, study
• 17:15～ any volunteers are welcome to talk about what they worked on
• 17:45～ cleanup and leave
• 17:55～ everyone completely out of the room
• 18:00～ after-party (participation optional)
• 20:00 go home!

Everyone is Welcome

This event is geared towards all levels of programmers, from beginner to expert. The following is a few examples of people who are welcome (although anyone not specified on this list is also welcome!):

• people who just started studying programming
• people who haven't yet started studying programming, but are interested
• high-school students, professional-school students, and college students
• professional programmers
• people who want a place to read math or programming books
• people who live and breathe functional programming

Examples of Things to do at this Meetup

• read a Haskell book
• go through an Elixir tutorial
• create a web app using Elm
• write a new library in Scala
• take some of the Java code at your job and convert it to Clojure
• write a blog post about F#
• clean up your Emacs configuration
• create an interesting Common Lisp program
• play around with embedded programming in Rust

Cost

It's free!

If you choose to participate in the after-party, dinner will probably be around 3000 yen.

Classmethod is allowing us to use their meeting room.

The room has outlets to plug in your laptop and WIFI you can use.
